McKayla
Co-Founder & Principal Planner
Hey friends! I'm McKayla - the older sister. I've always very much fit the older sister role and it's true in business too. I've lived in Chaska Minnesota my whole life and this little town is truly one of my favorite places. I have a dog named Beemer and a cat named Mercedes. I have business degree and an ASL/English interpreting degree. I am fluent in American Sign Language and while I don't use it often, it's my favorite language.
I've always been a planner - our Mom would say I was always up to something - but I like to call it planning. From the cafe we would put on for our Mom at lunch when we were young to planning my high school reunion - I love to plan anything, big or small.
Now I feel very lucky to plan with our couples and celebrate their evergreen love as the principal planner at SSE.
Megan

Hi! I’m Megan, the youngest of the Hatfield sister-duo.
My love for nature runs deep as you will often find me hiking, camping, exploring the mountains, and soaking up the sweet smell of pines in the forest. This love was sparked by the beautiful campus I attended university at, where I received my degree in Communications. While this is a big part of who I am, to know me is to know that my heart overflows with love for my husband, Joshua, and our fur baby, Hank the Golden. However, most importantly, my heart beats for Christ – He is my greatest treasure! Because of Him, I love to serve others – which makes weddings such a filling time for me. To serve couples on their big day is such a joy – being able to manage timelines, work alongside vendors and loved ones, and assuring things are perfectly in place is a privilege that I don’t take lightly.
I have truly enjoyed all the couples we have celebrated already, and look forward to all the couples we have yet to celebrate!

Hi my name is Maria and I am the newest edition to the Shaded Spruce fam! I am a student at South Dakota State University studying Public Relations. My favorite thing is to travel! It’s so much fun to meet new people and see new places especially if I get to eat some good food. I love weddings because I get to see each couple's unique personality shine through in how they choose to have their perfect day. Whether it’s the ceremony, the decor, or the reception, each wedding day is special and I love celebrating love!

Directors of Barketing
Hank (Golden) & Beemer (Mix) are cousins and they are the creative minds behind all things Shaded Spruce marketing. Super talented but often off task. Hank & Beemer are the beloved side kicks of Megan & McKayla. You should expect to see them in the background of video calls, featured on Instagram, and if you're lucky enough to meet them in person you will probably leave full of doggy gold (hair).
